Why use a Matterport photographer to promote your business?

For years, the only way to see inside a building was using a still photograph. Then there was the stand-on-the-spot 360 spin-round, which allowed you to survey a room from a given vantage point. This often felt a little awkward and made rooms looks smaller if anything – with that strange goldfish bowl effect!
After that came the fly-through, which was OK if your property was a church or a large warehouse, not so great for a picturesque holiday cottage. And then came Matterport.

The Matterport 3D camera was invented in the US in 2014 and it’s only just being introduced to the UK. Our Matterport scanners allow us to capture any building completely, creating a platform for your visitors to walk through at their own pace, in any direction they choose. They can stop and browse, climb the stairs, do a 360… and all the visuals are beautifully rendered, making spaces look bigger and brighter and better.
A Matterport scan even creates floor plans and allows you to “take the lid off” your building for a spectacular doll’s house view.

As accredited Matterport photographers, Virtual Reality Venues (VRV) can scan your property in a lightning-fast process. We love working with business owners to create the highest-quality visuals that really make a difference in your marketing, giving you instant visual appeal to your customers and visitors. A Matterport 3D scan will bring your business messages home.

Why a Matterport virtual tour could benefit your restaurant business

I’m a fan of Masterchef and I love to watch the judges tasting the food offered up by nervous contestants. Their expressions are key: what do they think of each mouthful? John Torode and Greg Wallace resort to verbal gymnastics and fine adjectives to explain which flavours work, why a dish is a success or a failure. Sometimes there are tears of happiness in their eyes and I wish I could taste what they are tasting, be in their shoes right now.

It’s as difficult to sell your food on your website as it is to describe a Masterchef moment. No matter how good your cuisine, your potential customers have only visuals to go on. The internet can’t sell the smells coming from the kitchen or the tastes you create, it can only present it to the customer for better or worse.
This is where a Matterport 3D virtual tour comes in. The brilliance of a user-friendly 3D tour is that it allows potential customers to walk through your restaurant and your kitchens as if they had just walked in off the street.

All you have to do is set up your restaurant at its best. Is it a bustling diner or a cosy, romantic spot? We will help you to present the interiors as you’d want your customers to see them. At the touch of a button, they will be able to browse each room and even imagine where they’d like to sit, making them more likely to book for a night out or special occasion.

Restaurants are all about the food, of course they are, but don’t be underestimate the importance of ambience for winning new customers.

Showroom Virtual Tour

Thousands of articles have been written about the demise of the High Street and the growth of online shopping, but I’ve never heard anyone mention one simple trick: create a virtual tour of your showroom. A state-of-the-art 3D tour allows customers to stroll around your shop or warehouse, browse your stock and make decisions about what to buy – all from the comfort of the couch.

People still love to shop. We still want to see what’s for sale in a dedicated retail setting that presents each item with thought and style. The reason more of us are staying away from traditional shopping outlets is because of the effort involved. The driving, the bus, the walking, the parking – we’re prepared to put up with these occasionally, but why bother to do the routine trek from store to store when goods are easily available online?

A Matterport tour is a sophisticated way to bridge the gap between your showroom and your IT-savvy customers. It give people a realistic shopping experience from their computer screen. It also puts people in control of browsing, just like shopping in real life. You are bringing your showroom to them.
By incorporating your showroom onto your website (we provide you with a simple link) you will not only make more sales, you’ll give people more reasons to come out and visit you in person. A 3D tour is a wonderful way to showcase your store or retail premises – and we can even “take the lid off” your business with a simple click of a button.

If you’re proud of your showroom; if you believe your customers would love it too, then give us a call. We’ll show you how to make the most of selling in the 21st century.

Commercial Property Virtual Tour

It’s not always easy to find inventive ways to promote commercial property. Whether you are selling small office pods for home-workers or gigantic warehouses for logistics storage, you are basically selling an empty space, a blank canvas for your customers to fill. Static imagery can be uninspiring – and your job is to inspire.

We work with marketing agencies promoting some of the biggest commercial properties in the UK. They are constantly looking for new ways to capture the scale and flexibility of buildings which can store many thousands of products for distribution to retail outlets or direct to homes through internet fulfilment. Maybe they will become outlets for modern manufacturing or IT. Prospective customers need to know that the building is fit for purpose.

A virtual tour can really bring a large building to life. More than a fly-through (where the viewer is taken passively through the building, not stopping,) a 3D tour allows the customer to run, skip and hop at his or her own pace. It takes the lid off the building, revealing office hubs, canteens and other important features. It puts the customer at the controls, which is just where a customer wants to be.
At the other end of the scale, a well-made and insulated office shed can be the answer to cramped family living. A modern office pod can be a stylish addition to any garden, but customers need to visualise exactly how it will fit into their back yard before buying.

Virtual Reality Tours place the customer right inside the commercial spaces, so they can imagine how their work will work. It’s fresh, it’s different and it helps all kinds of buildings and structures to sell.

Promote your holiday home with a virtual tour

Lots of people are going into holiday home rental, but it can be a frustrating business. Your house or apartment is looking gorgeous. It’s well-equipped and in a great location, but the bookings aren’t pouring in. Whether you are with Airbnb, Owners Direct or a trusted agent, you need a distinctive edge to make your property stand out from the crowd.

On the other side of the computer screen, vacation bookers want to know exactly what they’re getting when selecting a place to stay. If only they could walk through the rooms, peer through the windows and get a feeling for the holiday ahead of them. It would be so much easier for them to choose.
This is where the latest generation of 3D tours come in. They are clear, colourful and inviting. They allow potential customers to stroll through each indoor and outdoor space, to imagine themselves relaxing in your home.

In my experience, holiday-home owners are amazed by two things: the ease of capture and the stunning results. A new-gen virtual tour makes your property look bigger, brighter and even better than you can imagine. It only takes a couple of hours (depending on the size of the spaces of course) and all you have to do is tidy up! In no time, you’ll have your own 3D tour to keep, embed on your website and link to via social media.

Virtual tours really are the future for holiday home promotion. It’s time to be part of the future.
